Oakes Law Office is a law firm based in Swan River, Manitoba. We proudly serve the Swan River Valley, The Pas, and surrounding northern communities. Our preferred areas of practice include Real Estate, Wills and Estates, and Corporate and Business Law.

Our website provides convenient links and contact information for local real estate agents, insurance brokers, accounting firms, and municipal offices.

In 2013, Laurie A. E. Oakes joined Bergthor (Beggie) Palsson as his first female partner at Palsson Law Office. Upon Beggie’s retirement in 2014 after 36 years of service, Oakes Law Office was established in the Valley. In 2019 we opened a branch office in The Pas, which we operated for seven years.

In 2026, we expanded our Swan River practice and relocated to 509 Main Street East. We remain committed to serving our northern clients and are happy to assist by phone appointments, digital signing and virtually witnessing.
